Dark of the Moon Mixed Media Kickstarter Bonus: We’re only $1 Away!

mixed media kickstarter bonus Dark of the Moon

The total lunar eclipse has just passed, marking the midpoint of our Dark of the Moon Kickstarter journey. With less than two weeks remaining until the March 29th deadline, here’s something remarkable: we’re sitting at 593% funded and literally one dollar away from the final stretch goal.

I’m Amazed at Where We’re Standing

The project’s success has exceeded expectations, demonstrating how much this celestial-inspired mixed media series resonates with people. I set the initial funding goal low to ensure rewards would definitely go out, but your enthusiasm has carried us far beyond that threshold.

Because of this overwhelming support, we’ve already unlocked two bonus rewards:

  • Every backer will receive a hand-painted bookmark (these are already completed and waiting in the studio)
  • Each package will include a unique Artist Trading Card (production is underway)

So Close to Something Special

So exciting – we’re just ONE DOLLAR away from reaching the final stretch goal. When we cross this threshold, every single backer will also receive a hand-made 5×7 gel plate monoprint.

I’ll personally pull each one of these prints in the studio, making every backer’s package truly one-of-a-kind. Creating these monoprints is a process I love – each one captures a moment of creative exploration that can’t be exactly replicated.

What This Means

If you’ve already backed the project: you’re in! Your support isn’t just funding art; it’s affirming the importance of creativity and the spirit of resilience after the challenging beginning of this project.

If you’re still thinking about it: now’s the perfect moment to join us. Your contribution will help unlock that final bonus for everyone while securing your own collection of handmade art and creative materials.

A Studio Update

I’ve completed all the bookmarks and started creating the unique Artist Trading Cards. Each one carries elements of the celestial theme while remaining distinct and special.

The original artworks are ready, the zines are designed, and I’m eager to start on those gel plate prints as soon as we reach that final goal. This project is part of my larger goal of bringing real art to real people in the real world – the Art in Hands Project.

Looking Forward

When Hurricane Helene forced the postponement of this project last September, I couldn’t have imagined the journey ahead. Launching during this particular moon cycle – from dark moon to dark moon with a total lunar eclipse in between – has given the work deeper meaning.

Thank you for being part of this creative journey. Whether you’re a longtime supporter or just discovering this project, there’s still time to participate before the March 29th closing date.
