Welcome to the Art in Hands Project
Found some art?
That means you’ve discovered a piece of real, human-made art left for you to find! My mission is to put genuine, hand-created art into the hands of real people like you. I believe that art made by human hands and hearts will always be more meaningful than anything artificial. Art isn’t just an object, it’s a connection between people.
What is the Art in Hands Project?
The Art in Hands Project is my commitment to share real art widely and accessibly. From original paintings and prints to zines, stickers, and more, I’m bringing tangible art into the world in as many ways as possible. Here’s how you can join in and find more art:
Ways to Participate
- Discover and Collect:
Art pieces are dropped around Asheville, North Carolina area and beyond, waiting for people to find and keep. If you’ve found one, it’s yours to enjoy, or pass it along for someone else. - Shop or Back a Project:
Visit my Etsy Shop for prints, paintings, and zines, or back one of my occasional Kickstarter projects to be involved in the creative process. - Studio Visits (Asheville Area):
If you’re in Asheville, I invite you to visit my studio and choose an artwork as a gift, in exchange for your time, presence, and thoughtful selection. Send me a Substack, Etsy or Pinterest message or an email with the subject line “Studio Visit,” and we’ll sort out the details. - Virtual Studio Visits: Can’t visit in person? No problem! Browse a selection of available artworks through an occasional photo gallery that I’ll share in person, a post or in my newsletter. Choose the piece that resonates with you, answer a few questions and I’ll send it to you by mail—shipping is on me! If you’re local, we can arrange an in-person pickup instead.
- Stay Updated:
Keep an eye on my newsletter for upcoming releases and art drops. I’ll share announcements, so you’ll know where to look next for free art finds and new projects!
