Found some art?

You’ve just discovered a piece of real, professional-quality artwork, left out in the wild, waiting for you to find. This is part of the Art in Hands Project, a creative experiment in connection, generosity, and reclaiming the personal power of handmade art.

If you’re holding one of these pieces, it’s yours. You don’t need to do anything else, but if you’d like to share where you found it or how it made you feel, I’d love to hear from you.

Use the contact form below to send me an email with the subject line “Found Art.”

What is the Art in Hands Project?

What it is (and isn’t)

The Art in Hands Project is my answer to a world where art feels locked away, priced out, and increasingly artificial. This is professional, gallery-quality work, not mass-market prints or machine-generated fluff.

It’s from the wide range of my creative output and every piece is made by my own hands in the studio – real paper, real paint, real time. Then it’s sent into the world without gatekeepers. I leave pieces around the Asheville area (and sometimes farther) for people to find and keep – no strings attached.

It’s part creative rebellion, part quiet gift.

Why it Matters

Because human art made by human hands will always matter

handmade outsider art in hands project

We’re surrounded by things that are fast, filtered, and fake. This project is my personal act of defiance to that and a living reminder that real people still make real things with care and attention and love. It’s my way to make the world we live in a better place.
