On Wednesday, May 21, I’m launching a short, tightly focused Kickstarter campaign to share a small set of handmade artist folios. The campaign will run just nine days and close on Friday, May 30 at 8 PM EST, and there are only 3 folios available for this round.
Each folio is 5.5 x 8.5 inches, folded and staple-bound with eight surface pages that open from the center. The covers are made of heavy watercolor paper with artwork to match the contents—images, notes, and experiments from my creative process. They’re small, tactile, and completely unique.
I don’t keep sketchbooks. I make folios like these instead. They’re how I test materials, chase a visual idea, jot something down, and then move on. These handmade artist folios are a direct glimpse into my process—a way to share without hoarding, and to keep the work flowing forward.
This project is part of my Art in Hands philosophy: that art is for making and sharing—not storing away. If that resonates with you, I hope you’ll take a look at the campaign.
You’ll be able to choose the folio that speaks to you, and even add on an optional 5×7 monotype print from the same creative series.
More details coming soon, and I’d love to have you along for this handmade experiment in sharing art.
