Well, Hello!
It’s been a while, how are you? I’ve been painting mixed media almost every day lately and have been really deep into the process. There are paintings in various states of progress all over the place here!
I started the Art2Life course back in March and it’s been intense with multiple sessions each week. It feels a lot like a college course at 12 weeks and the material covered has real depth and complexity. I can see such a big difference in my work!
Finished, Mostly?
These paintings are mostly finished and I’m pleased with them. They may still have some tweaks here and there but the bulk of the work is done now. They’re acrylic mixed media on panel – 12×12 or 9×12.
Peek into the Studio – Work in Progress
This panel is still very much earlier in the process. I like to start with multiple layers of broken color and warm over cool colors to add complexity early on as my approach to painting mixed media. Once I decide the final layers, I’ll start carving out shapes. I don’t know if this process will be one I’ll stay with, but I’m enjoying it for now.
